Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse or distribution centre.
• Ontario Security License is required.
• Must be 18+ and eligible to work in Canada.
• Strong communication and basic computer skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Site Surveillance & Patrol: Regular site patrols and monitoring entry points.
• Visibility & Coverage: Maintain high visibility at posts and sensitive areas.
• Access Control: Verify IDs, log visitors, secure gates/doors when not in use.
• Communication: Radio communication with security team; report incidents promptly.
• Emergency Response: Respond to medical, fire or security incidents; coordinate with responders.
• Incident Documentation: Keep logs of activities and handover notes.
• Site & Asset Protection: Prevent theft and protect site materials and equipment.
• Safety & PPE: Ensure adherence to safety policies and PPE usage.

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking a reliable and professional Security Guard - Warehouse Facility - Full-Time to support security operations at a warehouse and logistics facility in Vaughan,ON. This position involves providing security coverage on a fixed site, with a focus on access control, documentation, and asset protection in a continuously operating environment.

The Security Guard will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property while ensuring compliance with site policies and security procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Site Surveillance & Patrol:Perform regular patrols of the site and surrounding areas to ensure the security of the premises. Monitor all entry points for unauthorized access.
• Visibility & Coverage:Maintain high visibility at the designated posts. Ensure security coverage near sensitive areas within the site.
• Access Control:Enforce site access protocols by verifying the identification of authorized personnel, logging visitor entry and exit, and ensuring that gates and doors remain securely locked when not in use.
• Communication:Maintain clear and constant communication via radio with other security personnel. Report incidents, unusual activities, or security concerns promptly.
• Emergency Response:Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, or security breaches. Contact emergency services and assist as necessary.
• Incident Documentation:Maintain accurate logs of all security activities, incidents, and patrols. Complete shift reports and provide detailed handover notes for the next shift.
• Site & Asset Protection:Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to site materials and equipment. Ensure all property is secured at all times.
• Compliance with Safety Procedures:Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures on-site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
• General Security Duties:Ensure the overall safety and security of the site and surrounding areas by addressing any security risks or safety concerns that arise during the shift.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience working in warehouse, Distribution Centre
• Must have a validOntario Security License.
• Must be at least 18 years old or above for insurance purposes
• Must have great communication skills and computer operations knowledge
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to40 hours a week.
• First Aid and CPR
