Job summary

Commissionaires BC is recruiting a Security Officer to manage parking and bylaw enforcement in Vancouver (UBC area) on weekends. The role includes regular patrols and enforcing regulations to ensure safety and order.

You will work Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 6pm at a site with on-site training and a pay rate of $22.50 per hour. The position emphasizes strong customer service, professional conduct, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Licence.
• Basic First Aid Certificate.
• Class 5 BC Driver's Licence with clean abstract.
• Demonstrated interest and experience serving the public.
• Positive, professional attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Able to stand and walk long periods outdoors in various weather.
• Fluent English in writing, speaking and reading.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular mobile and foot patrols of the community.
• Enforce parking regulations, issuing warnings and notices when required.
• Provide towing procedures with caution and discretion.
• Liaise with RCMP and towing companies during violations.
• Provide superior customer service to clients and the public.
• Maintain a safe environment for all personnel and the public.
• Investigate and report incidents promptly and accurately.
• Report to the client and Operations management for further duties as necessary.

• Conducting regular mobile and footpatrols of the community
• Enforce parking regulations, issuing warnings and notices when required

• Exercising caution and discretion before enacting towing procedures
• Liaising with the RCMP and towing companies during violations
• Providing superior customer service to clients andthepublic
• Maintaining a safe environment for all personnel and the public
• Investigating and reporting incidents promptly and accurately

• Reporting to theclientandOperations management for further duties as necessary

Your Must-Haves:

• Valid BC SecurityLicence
