Job summary

Commissionaires BC is seeking a Site Supervisor for a full-time role at a government site in Vancouver. The position runs Monday to Friday, 7am–3pm, with a payrate of $24.81/hour. Responsibilities include patrols, access control, and acting as first responder in emergencies.

You will liaise with the client and ensure compliance with post orders and safety protocols. Ideal candidates hold a valid BC Security Licence, OFA 1, and at least 3 years of security and supervisory experience, with

• Valid BC Security Licence.
• Have lived in Canada for a minimum of 5 years due to clearance requirements.
• OFA 1 certificate.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Minimum 3 years security experience.
• Excellent English oral and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Interior and exterior patrols
• Access Control and visitor verification
• First responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies
• Following specific emergency and alarm response protocols.
• Maintain up-to-date Post Orders and Site Safety, Risk, and Quality Assurance assessments;
• Submit reports,time sheets, and staff evaluations as per deadlines;
• Oversee trainingand scheduling of Commissionaires;
• Leading through empowerment, and monitoring staffmorale, discipline, and progress;
• Ensure team maintainsa professionalstandard of conduct,dress and deportment;
• Liaise with the client to ensure their instructions are carried out as per written policy;
• Contacting management in situations not covered by Post Orders.
