Job summary

Commissionaires BC is recruiting a Security Officer to manage parking and bylaw enforcement in Vancouver (UBC area) on weekends. You will conduct mobile and foot patrols, enforce regulations, and interact with the public to ensure safety.

Shifts run Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm with a pay rate of $22.50/hr. The position requires a valid BC Security Licence, First Aid, and a Class 5 Driver's Licence, plus strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Licence.
• Basic First Aid Certificate.
• Class 5 BC Driver's Licence with clean driving abstract.
• Demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public.
• Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills.
• Professional conduct, dress and deportment.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle emergencies calmly and professionally.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods outdoors in varying weather.
• Fluent English in written, verbal and reading forms.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the RCMP and towing companies during violations.

• Report to the client and Operations management for further duties.
