Commissionaires BC is seeking a Part Time Security Guard to work at a site in North Vancouver, BC. The schedule is Tuesday to Thursday from 23:00 to 07:30, with a wage of $23.50 per hour.

Ideal candidates hold a valid BC Security License, have resided in Canada for at least 5 years, and demonstrate excellent English skills and solid customer service experience. This role involves access control, incident reporting, and emergency response as needed.

Qualifications

• Resided in Canada for a minimum of 5 years for clearance purposes.
• Excellent English oral and written skills.
• Proven customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide first class customer service to all visitors/staff.
• Monitor and control site access.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain close observation and awareness of site activities.
• Crowd management.
• Responding to potential protesters or media.
• Ensure detailed and clear documentation of incidents, working with law enforcement as necessary.
• Act as the first responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies.
• Follow specific emergency and alarm response protocols.
• Wear the required PPE - hard hats, steel toe boots and reflective vests.
• Escalate urgent matters to the client as required.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Provide first class customer service to all visitors/staff
• Monitor and control site access
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
• Maintain close observation and awareness of site activities
• Crowd management
• Responding to potential protesters or media
• Ensure detailed and clear documentation of any incidents, working with law enforcement as necessary
• Act as the first responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies
• Following specific emergency and alarm response protocols
• Wearing the required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) - such as hard hats, steel toed boots and reflective vests
• Escalating urgency matters and other significant concerns to the client as required
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned

Your Must Haves:

• Valid BC Security License
• Have resided in Canada for a minimum of 5 years for clearance purposes
• Excellent English oral and written skills
• Proven customer service experience
