Job summary

Allied Universal in London, Ontario is hiring Security Professionals to provide front-line security services. This role suits individuals with strong customer service, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work night shifts. Shifts include 07:00–19:00 and 19:00–07:00, with weekends as needed.

Applicants must hold an Ontario security guard license, be 18+, and have a high school diploma or GED. First Aid/CPR certification is required; a valid driver’s license is an asset.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm systems.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Ontario security guard license required.
• Drivers license is an asset.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada for 24 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED.

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area.
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times.
• Manage conflicts and incidents and deescalate when needed.
• Patrol and follow post orders and supervise movement of guests as required.
• Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed during alarms or emergencies.
• Undertake site-specific training and follow supervisor instructions.
• Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making in emergencies.
• Meticulous record keeping and clear communication.
• Operate security room equipment and complete required training.

Pay Rate: $ 20.62 per hour

Shifts : Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri and Sat; (07:00-19:00; 19:00- 07:00); Overnight shifts follow same pattern, subject to change.

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as perthe post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols,manage the movement of guests at various points throughout the property etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate goodjudgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site required training
