Job summary

Allied Universal in London, ON is seeking a Security Professional for a part-time role at the Community Centre. You will perform front-line security, monitor access, and maintain professional conduct while serving the public.

The position requires familiarity with alarm systems, CCTV, and incident reporting, plus an Ontario security guard license. Evening shifts are available Monday through Friday; eligibility to work 40 hours weekly is required.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid Ontario security guard license
• Drivers License is considered an asset.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior of facility, looking for signs of illegal activity, vagrancy, theft, property damage.
• Conduct regular communications checks with City of London Security dispatch.
• Access control for the facility/area
• Document shift activities in Daily Activity Report; complete incident reports with AUS mobile team.
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following post orders, may include indoor or outdoor patrols
• Ensure facility safety and emergency procedures are followed in emergencies
• Undertake site-specific training; follow direction from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making in emergencies or incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills, excellent verbal and written communication
• Operate/monitor security room equipment; complete site-required training

Pay Rate: $ 20.62 per hour

Shifts : Mondays - Fridays; (16:00 - 22:30 or 23:00); Evening shifts, subject to change.

• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as perthe post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols,manage the movement of guests at various points throughout the property etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate goodjudgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site required training
