Job summary

Allied Universal in London, Ontario is hiring Part-Time Security Professionals to deliver professional, front-line security services at a busy community facility. You will maintain safety, provide excellent customer service, and work as part of a dynamic team.

Required: Ontario security guard license, experience with access control, alarm systems and CCTV; ability to work 16:00–22:30 (or 23:00) shifts; high school diploma or equivalent; 40 hours per week eligibility.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm systems.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid Ontario security guard license.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior of facility; identify signs of illicit activity or safety concerns.
• Conduct regular communication checks with City of London Security dispatch.
• Manage access control for the facility/area.
• Document shift activities in Daily Activity Report and complete incident reports.
• Maintain a polished, professional, customer-friendly image at all times.
• Deescalate conflicts and incidents when needed.
• Follow post orders for patrols and guest movement; adapt to site requirements.
• Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed during alarms or emergencies.
• Complete required training and operate security room equipment.

Allied Universal is seeking Security Professionals in London, Ontario.

Job Title: Security Professional - Community Centre

Job Location: London, ON

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay Rate: $ 20.62 per hour

Shifts : Mondays - Fridays; (16:00 - 22:30 or 23:00); Evening shifts, subject to change.

Overview:

Allied Universal is currently hiring Security Professionals in London, ON to provide professional, front-line security services. This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and willing to work with a dynamic team.

Requirement:

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm .


• Experience with report writing and note-taking.


• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.


• Valid Ontario security guard license


• Drivers License is considered an an asset.


• Must be eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week.

• Must be at least 18 years old.


• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :

• Patrol interior and exterior of facility, looking for signs of illegal / criminal activity, vagrancy, theft, property damage.


• Conduct regular communication checks with City of London Security dispatch.


• Access control for the facility/area


• Document shift activities in Daily Activity Report; complete incident reports with AUS mobile team.


• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times


• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate


• Patrolling and following protocols as perthe post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols,manage the movement of guests at various points throughout the property etc.


• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies


• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager


• Demonstrate goodjudgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents


• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site required training
