Job summary

Securitas Canada Limited in the Medicine Hat area is seeking part-time security guards to protect client sites, monitor premises, and respond to incidents.

Positions include Saturdays/Sundays and evening shifts. Applicants must hold an Alberta Security Guard License, have a Class 5 driver's license with access to a vehicle, pass a drug/alcohol test, and be available for daytime training on weekdays (minimum 40 hours).

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Alberta Security Guard License.
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Must be available for daytime training on weekdays (minimum 40 hours).

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, its assets, and personnel.
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protective devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client sites or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned sites on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized person.
• Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client's property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
• Use computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic training.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

Location: MEDICINE HAT AREA

We are seeking PART TIME SECURITY GUARDS FOR MEDICINE HAT AREA.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Alberta Security Guard License
• Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
• Must be available for daytime training on weekdays (minimum 40 hours)

Available Positions

• Position One - Saturdays and Sundays from 14:00 to 22:00, and Mondays and Tuesdays from 19:00 to 00:00.
• Position Two - Saturdays and Sundays from 22:00 to 06:00.

Qualifications

• Valid provincial Security Guard License
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Reliable means of transportation
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
• Must have excellent computer skills, including accurate data entry,
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must pass drug and alcohol test
• First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset
