Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional in Simcoe, ON to deliver front-line security services. This role emphasizes strong customer service, a professional demeanor, and a security background as core requirements.

The position is part-time with Saturday and Sunday day shifts (0630–1830). Eligible candidates must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard License, First Aid/CPR, and be able to stand throughout the shift. Experience with report writing and CCTV is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 24 hours per week.
• Must be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes.
• Valid ON Security Guard License.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activity and ensure safety of personnel and property.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms and respond to breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities.
• Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows and entry points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure security protocols.
• Interact with clients, visitors and employees, enforcing security policies and providing assistance.
• Report security incidents, accidents or hazards to supervisors and authorities, documenting observations and actions.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders to manage incidents.
• Maintain accurate logs of patrol activities and incidents per company policies.
• Inspect security equipment, vehicles and emergency supplies; report deficiencies.
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
• Participate in training and professional development on security procedures and regulations.

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Status: Part-time

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high-traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of personnel and property
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities
• Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols
• Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies
• Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken
• Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively
• Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulation
