Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional for the overnight shift in Hamilton, Ontario. This part-time role requires watching access points, patrolling indoor and outdoor areas, and maintaining a professional, customer-focused presence on site.

Ideal candidates will have First Aid/CPR, a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence, strong reporting skills, and the ability to work independently as part of a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide access control for the facility and designated areas.
• Maintain a polished, professional, and customer-friendly image at all times.
• Manage conflicts and incidents effectively and de-escalate situations when necessary.
• Conduct patrols and follow site protocols as outlined in the post orders, including indoor and outdoor patrols and managing the movement of guests throughout the property.
• Ensure that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies.
• Complete all site-specific training and follow the direction and guidance of the Site Supervisor or Manager.
• Demonstrate sound judgment, common sense, and decision-making abilities, particularly when required to take charge and direct others during emergencies or incidents.
• Maintain meticulous records and reports, utilizing strong observation, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• Operate and monitor security room equipment and complete all required site training.

Overview

Allied Universal is currently hiring Security Professionals in Hamilton , ON to provide professional, front-line security services. This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, able to work night shifts, a professional demeanor, and willing to work with a dynamic team.

Requirement

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm systems.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
