Allied Universal in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Professional Security Guard to protect the facility and its people. The role includes monitoring access points, patrolling, and responding to incidents in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in Canada up to 24 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR - Level C.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Hamilton, Ontario.

Job Title: Security Guard

Job Location: Hamilton, ON

Pay Rate: $17.85 per hour

Shifts: Saturdays & Sundays; (2300-0700), Overnight Shifts

Requirement:

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm .
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid Ontario security guard license
• Must be eligible to work in Canada upto 24hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR - Level C
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, etc.
• Ensure that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate goodjudgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols
