Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard in London, Ontario to provide front-line security services. The role requires strong customer service, professionalism, and teamwork to ensure safety and compliance across shifts.

Responsibilities include access control, incident reporting, and de-escalation in a dynamic environment. Valid Ontario security guard license and First Aid/ CPR are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid Ontario security guard license
• Must be comfortable with driving for a long period of time.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada upto 24hours per week.
• Valid First Aid and CPR is mandatory.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior of facility, looking for signs of illegal / criminal activity, vagrancy, theft, property damage.
• Conduct regular communication checks with City of London Security dispatch.
• Access control for the facility/area
• Document shift activities in Daily Activity Report; complete incident reports with AUS mobile team.
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, manage the movement of guests at various points throughout the property etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor, client representatives, Account Manager (or designate)
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site required training

Pay Rate: $ 20.62 per hour

Shifts: Varies depending on shift (12hr shifts, days and nights)
