Shifts run Monday through Friday with afternoons/evenings (1500–2230) and the pay rate is $20.62 per hour. Responsibilities include patrolling, access control, incident reporting, and collaboration with City security dispatch.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid Ontario security guard license.
• Driver's license is an asset.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/ GED.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior of facility, looking for signs of illegal activity or safety concerns.
• Conduct regular communication checks with security dispatch.
• Control access to facility areas.
• Document shift activities and complete incident reports.
• Present a professional customer-focused image at all times.
• Follow post orders and de-escalate conflicts when needed.
• Maintain meticulous records and reports of daily activities.

Specific Duties Performed And Essential Functions

• Patrol interior and exterior of facility, looking for signs of illegal / criminal activity, vagrancy, theft, property damage.
• Conduct regular communication checks with City of London Security dispatch.
• Access control for the facility/area
• Document shift activities in Daily Activity Report; complete incident reports with AUS mobile team.
• Perform duties as requested by site staff and AUS management.
• Complete OJT, and ongoing site training as required by Client and AUS.
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, manage the movement of guests at various points throughout the property etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision‑making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site required training
