Job summary

Pattison Food Group is hiring a Security Guard to protect our Langley-area locations across the Lower Mainland. Candidates will commute regularly to Surrey, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam, with up to 40 hours per week.

You will patrol premises, identify theft and maintain a safe environment for customers and staff. We offer paid training, benefits eligibility, and company-provided equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Worker Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to make quick decisions under difficult circumstances.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.

We are hiring a Security Guard for our locations in Lower Mainland, BC. This position requires commuting to multiple locations within Surrey, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, and Port Coquitlam on a regular basis. Up to 40 hours/week.

You will be responsible for:

• Identifying theft, mischief, and fraud.
• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.
• Observing, meeting and greeting customers.
• Approaching situations with a customer-first mindset.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor when dealing with the public, staff, and law enforcement agencies.
• Conducting security audits of the building and assets.
• Performing arrests, ask to pays, and product recoveries.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Documenting all evidence and typing clear and concise reports as required.

You have:

• A valid BC Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• Solid decision-making skills with the ability to make quick decisions under difficult circumstances.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with minimal supervision.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.
• Valid Advanced Security Training/AST (considered an asset).
• Fluency in a second language (considered an asset).
• Open availability (considered an asset).

IND2 Compensation Details: $20.00 - $26.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
