Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Professional Security Guard in Halton Hills, ON. The role is full-time with shifts from Monday to Friday, 1345-2200, at a pay rate of $21 per hour.

Qualifications

• First Aid and CPR - Level C.

• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies
• Undertake site specific training and follow directions from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making in emergencies or incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills, and communication
• Operate security room equipment including CCTV, radios, etc.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions:

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate goodjudgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols
