Allied Universal in London, Ontario, is accepting applications for a Security Professional at a Community Centre. The role emphasizes frontline security, customer service, and professional conduct in a dynamic client environment.

The position requires an Ontario security guard license, 18+ years of age, and eligibility to work in Canada for 40 hours per week. Shifts are afternoons/evenings, Mon–Fri, at 20.62 CAD per hour.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarms.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Ontario security guard license.
• Driver's license is an asset.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior of facility, looking for signs of illegal activity, vagrancy, theft, or property damage.
• Conduct regular communication checks with City of London Security dispatch.
• Access control for the facility/area.
• Document shift activities in Daily Activity Report; complete incident reports with AUS mobile team.
• Perform duties as requested by site staff and AUS management.
• Complete site trainings as required by Client and AUS.
• Present a polished, professional image at all times.
• Manage conflicts and incidents and de-escalate when needed.
• Follow post orders and site procedures, indoors or outdoors.
• Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed during alarms and emergencies.

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay Rate: $ 20.62 per hour

Shifts : Mondays - Fridays; (Afternoons/evenings. Shifts vary depending on client need, between 1500-2230)

Overview:

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :

• Patrol interior and exterior of facility, looking for signs of illegal / criminal activity, vagrancy, theft, property damage.
• Conduct regular communication checks with City of London Security dispatch.
• Access control for the facility/area
• Document shift activities in Daily Activity Report; complete incident reports with AUS mobile team.
• Perform duties as requested by site staff and AUS management.
• Complete OJT, and ongoing site training as required by Client and AUS.
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as perthe post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols,manage the movement of guests at various points throughout the property etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate goodjudgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site required training
