Job summary

Allied Universal in Timmins, Ontario is seeking a Security Guard for full-time rotational shifts. The role requires presence, vigilance, and customer-focused service to protect people and property.

You will perform access control, patrols, incident response, and report writing, using CCTV and alarm systems. A valid Ontario security guard license, First Aid/CPR, and ability to work 40 hours weekly are required.

Qualifications

• Must have Ontario security guard license.
• Eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR - Level C; advanced certification preferred.
• First responders first aid certification is an asset.
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area.
• Present a polished, professional image at all times.
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate.
• Patrolling and following post orders, including indoor or outdoor patrols.
• Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to alarms and emergencies.
• Undertake site-specific training and follow guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager.
• Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making, especially in emergencies.
• Meticulous record keeping and reporting; strong verbal and written communication.
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including CCTV, computers, and radios.

Job Title: Security Guard - Full Time Rotational Shifts

Job Location: Timmins, ON

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $23.47 per hour

Shifts: Mondays to Sundays; (Full Availability is an asset)

Requirement:

• Valid Ontario security guard license.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week.
• Valid First Aid and CPR - Level C. Priority will be given to those with an advanced First Aid & CPR certificate.
• First responders first aid certification is an asset
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate goodjudgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
