Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Bank Security Guard in Prince George, BC. You will maintain a visible security presence, monitor the banking floor, respond to incidents, and deter theft.

We offer a professional environment with a schedule of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, plus GardaWorld Academy training, opportunities for growth, and comprehensive benefits for eligible full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid BC security license.
• First aid certification is an asset.
• Strong report-writing skills.
• Good eyesight and ability to maintain focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, fraud, and disruptive behaviour within the bank branch.
• Monitor customers, visitors, and the banking floor for suspicious or unusual activity.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and customer assistance requests.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols to ensure the safety of employees, clients, and bank property.
• Control access to staff-only and secure areas while verifying visitor and contractor identification.
• Complete accurate daily logs, incident reports, and detailed documentation of all security-related events.
• Support emergency procedures, including evacuations, alarms, and coordination with police, fire, or EMS when required.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting clients and providing a safe, welcoming environment.

As a Bank Security Guard , you will help protect clients, employees, and assets by maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring activity within the branch, responding to incidents, and preventing security risks before they elevate.
