Securitas Canada Limited is seeking a security professional to handle front desk access control, visitor verification, and on-site security for a major client near Dixie and Derry Roads. This role includes coordinating dispatch, monitoring CCTV, and enforcing site rules with a customer-focused approach.

The ideal candidate holds an Ontario Security License, First Aid/CPR, and has strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of security protocols and emergency response.
• Experience in manufacturing facilities is desirable.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Clean driving abstract may be requested.

Responsibilities

• Perform access control at the front desk, verify visitors and contractors on-site.
• Interact professionally with the public, employees and visitors; enforce site rules.
• Dispatch duties via radio and respond to radio calls.
• Issue parking tickets for infractions; respond to parking complaints.
• Respond to emergencies and security incidents, provide CPR/AED if needed.
• Monitor CCTV footage and perform dispatch for the site, including emergencies.
• Direct and control traffic to ensure safety of staff and visitors.
• Prepare briefs and documentation for court when required.
• Escort medical staff and responders when needed.
• Follow breach procedures and notify supervisors of incidents.

Position Overview

Wages: $22.28/hr

Shift timings: TBD

Location: Dixie Rd. and Derry Rd.

Responsibilities

• Perform access control provision duties at the front desk, verifying visitors and contractors coming on-site.
• Demonstrate the ability and willingness to interact confidently with members of the public, employees, contractors, and visitors while maintaining a professional and customer-service-oriented approach. Respond to unauthorized access, loitering, disruptive behavior, and other security concerns by enforcing site rules and Trespass to Property procedures, utilizing sound judgment, de-escalation techniques, and established security protocols.
• Dispatch duties via radio communication accepting all radio calls.
• Issue parking tickets for any infractions.
• Respond to parking operation complaints and emergency situations.
• Investigate and issue penalty notices to vehicles parked illegally within the client's area at Pearson Airport, including towing of vehicles interfering with traffic/ property access.
• Direct and control traffic ensuring safety of client employees and visitors.
• Provide support for special enforcement initiatives dealing with matters such as Accessible Parking, Fire Routes, etc.
• Prepare detailed briefs of evidence and complete necessary documentation/processes required for court proceedings when necessary.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical, security and fire related emergencies, and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
• Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.
• Perform foot and mobile patrols inside and outside the facility.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security License.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate or be willing to obtain.
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
• Previous Security in Manufacturing facilities is desirable
• Previous Customer Service Experience
• Experience in dealing with Emergency Situations
• G Class Driver's License is required. G1 and G2 are not acceptable. Clean drivers abstract is required and will be requested.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of sustained standing and active patrol duties.
• Tech savvy with experience monitoring CCTV cameras and using 2-way radios.
• Previous experience with parking enforcement at the airport is a strong asset.
