Job summary

Tilray Brands, Inc. in Ontario is seeking a part-time, limited-term Security Guard to protect multiple facilities.

You will patrol premises, monitor surveillance, verify access, and respond to incidents while upholding company policies and safety procedures. The role requires at least a high school diploma, two years security experience, an Ontario Security Guard License, Standard First Aid, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; secondary education preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in the security industry.
• Must have an Ontario Security Guard License.
• Standard First Aid certificate required.
• Valid Class Driver's License.
• Experience with access control and CCTV monitoring.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule with evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises and monitor surveillance feeds.
• Report safety hazards, vandalism, and suspected activity.
• Prevent inventory losses by reporting discrepancies and damage.
• Answer phones during non-business hours when requested.
• Control access to ensure only authorized persons enter.
• Record observations and surveillance activities in reports.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols.
• Complete security documentation and shift handover notes.
• Adhere to SOPs and legal requirements; maintain professionalism.
• Respond to suspicious activity and assist contractors as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Provide security support at a variety of facilities by maintaining a safe and secure environment for visitors and employees. Support contracted staff and help to ensure that all members of the on-site team are performing their duties as required, while enforcing set policies and procedures that maintain the safety and security of the facility, they are working in.

Shift

Monday through Friday (4-5 hours daily); Flexibility to cover holidays, vacation, and/or 12hrs Night shift as required.

Compensation

CAD $ 20.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Patrol the premises and check surveillance feeds consistently
• Report safety issues, such as hazards, vandalism and suspicious or criminal activity
• Avert inventory losses by reporting missing items, inconsistencies and damaged property
• Answer the phone when requested or during non-business hours
• Keep an eye on the entrance and exit to prevent theft and ensure workplace security
• Monitoring of video surveillance equipment
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities
• Regular foot patrol of interior and exterior perimeter
• Access control management by ensuring entry to authorized persons only
• Examine all doors, windows and gates to ensure they are secure
• Maintain the organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
• Respond to any suspicious activity on or in relation to the premises
• Ensure visitors and contractors sign in and out
• Follow and understand all documentation procedures and SOPs
• Advise security staff of any relevant changes / notices at start of shift and record all necessary information on security documents
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education And Experience

• High school diploma required, secondary education is preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the security industry
• Must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Must hold a valid Standard First Aid certificate
• Valid Class Drivers License
• Experience / knowledge working in an Access Control Systems with CCTV monitoring
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Flexible schedule for shifts
• Ability to manage stressful situations and maintain a high level of professionalism
• Emotional intelligence and good character judgment
• Must be available to work on call to cover if someone calls in sick
• Must be available to work evenings or weekends for coverage.
