Job summary

RBC is seeking an Operations Specialist I in Bedford, Canada, to configure fixed income, equity, and equity derivative securities within the Broadridge system. You will ensure accurate trade execution and regulatory compliance while acting as a subject matter expert in securities operations.

You will analyze data across multiple vendor platforms, set up securities on Broadridge systems, and provide support for complex exception processing.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or equivalent plus relevant experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Technical aptitude to learn complex systems and processes
• Familiarity with fixed income, equity and equity derivatives securities
• Experience with securities operations platforms as listed above
• Ability to review, verify and record data precisely
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Configure new securities and manage data across systems
• Set up securities on Broadridge for regulatory compliance
• Develop in-depth knowledge of fixed income, equity and equity derivatives
• Analyze and process complex exception cases in operations
• Liaise with RBC units and external customers for data requests
• Identify and suggest process improvements and system changes
• Train and mentor other Operations team members
