Job summary

RBC’s City National Bank division seeks an experienced Application Administrator to ensure reliable software and systems delivery for US-based RBC clients. The role supports multiple applications and the associated technical environment across development, QA, production and DR.

Based in Toronto, you will manage incident, security, interfaces, APIs, and middleware, collaborating with vendors and participating in DR planning to protect critical client services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience with applications administration.
• Experience supporting multiple applications and environments.
• Proficiency with SQL queries (SQL/Oracle).
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux/UNIX servers.
• Experience with scripting and automation.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support new software versions and system software across development, QA, Production and DR environments.
• Provide technical assistance to projects.
• Manage application compliance activities (security assessments, access attestations).
• Incident and Problem Management including post-incident analysis.
• Researching and implementing new technology per project and support needs.
• Set-up and support of workflow and job scheduler software.
• Set-up, administration and support of interfaces and APIs.
• Middleware configuration, administration and support.
• Application environmental set-up, administration and support.
• SLA management and reporting for applications.
• Application support, issue management and escalation.
• Vendor, T&I and business user liaison.
• Disaster Recovery planning and DR tests participation.
