Job summary

Fountain Tire Vernon is seeking a responsible and safety‑minded associate as a Seasonal Automotive Tire Technician. This temporary role (2–3 months) offers flexible part-time or full-time shifts with strong training and advancement opportunities.

You will install, balance, rotate and repair tires, work on TPMS, and help manage inventory in a clean, safe environment. The team emphasizes customer service, safety, and growth into leadership positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tire service equipment on a regular maintenance schedule.
• Perform specialty tire work (e.g., studding, run-flat).
• Assist in inventory management and annual counts.

Overview

Fountain Tire Vernon, an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as a Seasonal Automotive Tire Technician!

This position has an expected duration of 2 to 3 months to provide temporary support for the busy season with the possibility to extend into permanent employment.

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding & run flat
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What does it take to get on track?

• Someone with previous tire/automotive experience would be great, however we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms
