Job summary

Fountain Tire Terrace is seeking a responsible Automotive Tire Technician for seasonal support with potential to transition to permanent employment. Based in Terrace, you will join a clean, safe, team-oriented shop and help customers with tire services.

You will install, balance, rotate, and repair tires, reset TPMS, maintain equipment, and handle inventory with documentation. Training will be provided; prior tire experience is helpful but not required; a valid driver's license and ability to

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset.
• Willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms.

Responsibilities

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels.
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS).
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Completing specialty tire work such as studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual counts; ensure safety.

Fountain Tire Terrace, an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as an Automotive Tire Technician!

This position will provide temporary support for the busy season, with the potential for motivated individuals to transition into permanent employment.

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory countsThe responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What does it take to get on track?

• Someone with previous experience would be great, however we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms
