Job summary

Fountain Tire Vaughan is seeking a responsible Automotive Tire Technician to join our team. You will install, balance, rotate, and repair tires and wheels for passenger and light trucks, reset TPMS, and maintain equipment.

You’ll also help manage inventory and uphold safety standards in a supportive shop environment. Starting wages are competitive at 23 per hour, with health, dental, and vision benefits, plus RRSP matching.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in the automotive/tire industry.
• Working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires and wheels.
• Customer-service focus with ability to develop relationships with customers and team members.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms.

Responsibilities

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels.
• Resetting and repairing TPMS.
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regular schedule.
• Completing specialty tire work (studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.).
• Assist in inventory management through documentation and counts.
• Maintain safety for yourself and coworkers.

Overview

Fountain Tire Vaughan (8300 Jane St), an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as an Automotive Tire Technician!

What does it take to get on track?

• 3 years of experience in the automotive/tire industry is required


• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset


• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers


• A keen attention to detail


• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels


• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)


• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis


• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.


• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts


• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe
