Job summary

Fountain Tire Terrace is seeking a responsible Automotive Tire Technician for temporary seasonal support with potential to transition into permanent employment. You will install, balance, rotate, and repair tires and TPMS, while maintaining equipment and contributing to a safe shop.

Qualifications

• Customer-service focus and ability to develop relationships with customers
• Basic tire knowledge for passenger and light truck tires and wheels is helpful
• Attention to safety and compliance in a fast-paced shop environment
• Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms and perform physical tasks
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driver’s abstract required
• Basic computer skills for inventory and documentation
• Team collaboration and positive attitude for training and advancement
• Willingness to train and grow into apprenticeships or leadership roles

Responsibilities

• Install, balance, rotate, and repair passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Reset and repair TPMS
• Maintain tire service equipment on a regular basis
• Complete specialty tire work (studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.)
• Assist in inventory management and participate in annual counts
• Maintain safe working environment for self and coworkers

Overview

Fountain Tire Terrace, an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as an Automotive Tire Technician!

This position will provide temporary support for the busy season, with the potential for motivated individuals to transition into permanent employment.

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What does it take to get on track?

• Someone with previous experience would be great, however we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms
