Qualifications

• Experience in winter highway maintenance and construction work.
• Graduation from high school. Educational equivalencies will be considered
• Supervisory experience
• Clearly demonstrate the ability to report within one half hour of notification of after-duty call

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe planning, organizing, implementing and supervising employees and equipment involved in highways maintenance and construction activities and applying modern techniques in highway construction and maintenance during winter operations.
• Assist in planning new maintenance projects and prepares activity reports; administrative duties including daily activity cards, preparing work schedules and reviewing payroll documentation.
• Respond to public inquiries and provide information to the public and other interested parties with respect to highway related conditions and emergency calls.
