Job summary

Michaels in St. Albert, AB is seeking a Store Associate to assist customers, process checkouts, and support store operations. You will engage customers with rewards programs, participate in omnichannel processes, and help keep the store well-stocked and merchandised.

The role requires a friendly, helpful attitude, ability to stand long hours, and readiness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed. Training includes framing product sales and production support.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Applicants in Canada must satisfy federal, provincial, and local legal requirements of the job.
• Must be at least 16 years old in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns/go back process and general store recovery.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs and adhere to SOPs.
