Job summary

Eataly Sherway Gardens is seeking a Deli Artisan (Part-Time) to join our Salumi & Formaggi team at Sherway Gardens. You will assist guests with selecting cheeses, weigh and package products, and help keep the cheese counter well-presented and stocked.

The role reports to the Store Operations leadership and supports a high-quality Italian marketplace. Availability to work weekends, physical stamina for lifting, and a passion for cheese are essential.

Qualifications

• Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Ability to use commercial equipment including scales, packaging machinery and a cash register

Responsibilities

• Assists guests with cheese selection and shares knowledge of products
• Weighs, labels and packages products and completes food preparation in a timely manner
• Ensures counter and display refrigerators neatly and accurately as per the pricing menu
• Merchandizes displays attractively and rotates products per FIFO standards
• Cleans work station thoroughly
• Performs other duties as required or assigned
• Basic math skills
• Knowledge of cheese highly preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

At Eataly, this role is referred to as a Salumi & Formaggi Artisan. Eataly's cheese department is home to 500+ of the highest quality cheeses specially sourced from Italy, internationally and locally. Many of the cheeses are entirely exclusive to Eataly. A Cheesemonger prepares, packages, receives and stocks product. A Salumi & Formaggi Artisan has passion for cheese and the ability to share that passion with Eataly's guests. Reports to the Assistant Store Operations Manager and Store Operations Manager.

Compensation
