Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Barrie, ON seeks a Seasonal Receiving Clerk to support back-room operations, receiving, inventory control, replenishment and housekeeping. You will count incoming shipments, verify quantities, and move stock to the sales floor while ensuring pricing and signage are accurate.

The role requires attention to detail, customer-service mindset, and the ability to stand for long periods; PAL licensing may be required. Part-time seasonal position with discount and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work.
• Customer service oriented team player.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and other business contacts in a courteous, positive and professional manner.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods, and to move and handle boxes of merchandise.
• Must be able to obtain a PAL license.

Responsibilities

• Systematically receive P.O.’s that come into the building.
• Physical count of all packages coming into the building and verify count with packing slip.
• Conduct stocking activities from back room to sales floor.
• Perform tasks including folding, repackaging, sorting, facing and re-hanging of newly arriving Cabela’s Canada product.
• Conduct general replenishment of all departments including facing, hanging merchandise.
• Conduct floor checks including cleaning, updates to pricing and signage, inventory, verification of min/max settings, ensuring that shelves are full and that security tags are in place.
• Assist with merchandise purges when necessary.
