Job summary

City of Beaumont is seeking two Labourers for the municipal public works team. The roles run from November 4, 2026 to April 16, 2027, at 40 hours per week, with an emphasis on safe operation of snow-moving equipment, road and infrastructure maintenance, and strong communication with residents.

Candidates should hold a High School Diploma or GED, possess a Class 5 driver’s license, and have Cityworks and general computer skills. First Aid/CPR, safety awareness, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with two-years related work experience.
• Experience with snow-moving equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow moving equipment ( skid steers, tool cats, brooms, blades, tractors, blowers, sanders).
• Perform daily inspections and process requests in Cityworks.
• Provide snow and ice control, including sanding on sidewalks and parking lots.
• Read and understand municipal maps and landmarks.
• Deliver excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders.
