Job summary

City of Beaumont is seeking two Labourers to support the Public Works Team from November 4, 2026 to April 16, 2027. The role involves operating snow removal equipment, performing inspections, and maintaining municipal assets while delivering excellent customer service to residents.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, equipment operator training, a Class 5 licence, and knowledge of safety regulations, with First Aid/CPR certification highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with two-years related work experience.
• Equipment Operator training
• Class 5 Driver’s Licence
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and database management).
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related safety standards.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow moving equipment (skid steers, tool cats, brooms, blades, tractors, blowers, sanders).
• Complete daily inspections and work orders via Cityworks.
• Perform snow removal and sanding on sidewalks, trails, and parking lots.
• Maintain equipment and read municipal maps and landmarks.
• Deliver customer service and communicate with stakeholders and residents.
• Attend safety meetings and follow safety directives.
