Job summary

Mind Games is seeking a motivated Part-Time Seasonal Keyholder to support store operations at Mayfair Mall in Victoria, BC. You will greet customers, assist with product questions, process payments, and help maintain a welcoming, well-organized shop environment.

The role requires 1+ year in sales or retail, strong customer service and leadership, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Competitive pay and store discount accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of sales, customer service, or retail experience.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated and energetic Part-Time Seasonal Keyholder who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. We are seeking someone who can deliver exceptional customer experiences, support the store team, achieve sales goals, and help maintain a visually compelling and well-organized store.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, build customer confidence, and recommend products based on their needs while providing exceptional customer service.
• Operate the POS system, accurately process payments, and issue receipts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store.
• Restock merchandise and help maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Develop strong knowledge of the store's product lines and assist customers with product-related questions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers and provide recommendations on product selection, usage, care, and maintenance.
• Consistently work toward meeting or exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor while assisting customers efficiently.
• Conduct opening and closing procedures, including ensuring cash registers are balanced and secured and required security procedures are followed.
• Act as a positive role model for customer service and attitude among other Sales Associates.
• Support other store duties and operational requirements as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in sales, customer service, or retail required.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, manage competing deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to take ownership and delegate tasks when appropriate.
• Passion for or knowledge of pop culture and board games is preferred.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
