Job summary

Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities is hiring a Seasonal Maintenance Technician for Victoria Harbour Resort in Ontario. The role covers groundskeeping, building repairs, water/septic maintenance, and pool operations, with a 40-hour workweek including weekends and holidays from August 1 to October 30, 2026.

You will help keep the community in top shape, support residents, and ensure safety and cleanliness while embracing a hands-on, active work environment. Training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to take water certification course at the beginning of employment.
  • Must be willing to take the pool certification course at the beginning of employment.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Lift/push/pull up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs infrequently; work at heights.

Responsibilities

  • Groundskeeping and landscaping of the property.
  • Repairs and maintenance of community buildings and equipment.
  • Support to residents as required, such as firewood delivery.
  • Water testing and daily record keeping.
  • Maintain pool and spa facilities.
  • Manage and keep records of septic system upkeep.
  • Maintain Health & Safety compliance and communicate with the Manager.
  • Clean work area, tools and equipment; respond to after-hours calls as needed.

Position: Seasonal Maintenance Technician

Hourly Rate: $18.04 per hour
Job Duration: August 1 - October 30th 2026
Schedule: 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays

This job posting is for a newly created role within our organization. We are looking for individuals with focus, ambition, and drive to help us achieve our mutual goals. You will be responsible for groundskeeping, building repairs, and water/septic system maintenance, helping to keep the community in top shape. You'll play a key role in pool operations and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. This hands‑on role will keep you active and engaged.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the ground’s maintenance and landscaping of the property
  • Responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all community buildings and equipment
  • Providing support to residence as required, such as firewood delivery
  • Water testing and record keeping daily
  • Maintaining the pool and spa facilities
  • Responsible in managing and keeping records of the upkeep of the septic systems
  • Responsible in maintaining all Health & Safety aspects of the Community and Community Buildings
  • Ensuring ongoing communication with Manager
  • Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.
  • Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times.
  • Operate within the applicable Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company policies at all times.
  • Be prepared to accept after hour calls and act on emergencies as required.
