Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Dartmouth, NS is seeking a Seasonal Footwear Associate to join our team. You will deliver legendary customer service, assist shoppers with footwear selections, and help maintain visual standards on the sales floor.

Reporting to the Retail Manager, you will promote store programs, restock, and stay knowledgeable about outdoor lifestyle trends. Prior sales experience and a high school diploma are preferred; accommodations for disability are available.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations based on needs.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s specific products is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based off of this analysis
• Promote various company programs and promotions
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
• Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
