Job summary

The Drake Hotel Properties is seeking positive and energetic FOOD RUNNERS for The Drake Devonshire Inn. Join a passionate team dedicated to delivering a genuine hospitality experience with a strong guest focus and energetic service style.

Responsibilities include delivering orders, coordinating with Front and Back of House, and assisting with table settings. Flexible availability for mornings, evenings, weekends is required; a 1-2 year customer service background is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role (Food + Beverage an asset).
• Energetic and willing to be active in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Ability to communicate, multi-task and work as part of a team or independently.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, late-nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables rapidly and accurately.
• Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House teams.
• Assist servers with table setting and removal of tableware and napkins.
• Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards.
• Describe components of the dish to guests.
• Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water as needed.

Requirements

• Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items
• 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role (Food + Beverage an asset)
• Good opportunity for an enthusiastic applicant looking to enter the hospitality industry
• Energetic and willingness to be active in the workplace, completing tasks that are both physical and repetitive
• Ability to communicate, multi-task and work as part of a team or independently
• Posses and/or is eager to develop Food and Beverage knowledge and hospitality experience
• Must have flexible availability to work morning, evening, late-night and weekends
