Job summary

The Drake Devonshire in Wellington, Ontario, is seeking an experienced and reliable Dishwasher to join a fast-paced kitchen team, with day and night shifts and regular events. WASH dishes and cooking equipment; maintain a clean, organized station; assist with basic prep; and support the back-of-house team while standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Previous experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Washing all dishes and cooking equipment.
• Maintain clear and open communication with the Back of House team.
• Sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner.
• Emptying garbages and recycling.
• Sweeping and mopping floors.
• Helping with small kitchen prep as required.
• Maintaining detergent and sanitizer levels for dishwashing machines and sinks.
• Restocking hand wash sinks with soaps and paper towels.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen and receiving areas.

Requirements

• Must be available to work evenings and weekends
• Previous experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, work in a wet and confined area with elevated temperatures, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Previous experience assisting in other areas of the Back of House is an asset
