Job summary

Calgary Stampede is seeking a Steward/Dishwasher for a seasonal, entry-level role in the Food and Beverage division. The position is on-site in Calgary and runs from September through mid-February, with flexible hours including weekends.

These temporary roles require individuals who can clean and sanitize equipment, handle lighting backend tasks, and assist with event setups as needed. Previous kitchen experience is not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position in Food and Beverage with focus on cleanliness and sanitation.
• Seasonal employment running September through February.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all equipment, glassware, china, cutlery, pots and pans.
• Clean floors in kitchen, coffee room and ice room.
• Remove waste, composting and recycling.
• Coordinate service equipment with other user groups.
• Put away equipment at the end of events.
• Set the event Back of house tables and all other event requirements.
• Deliver the event assets to required venue.
• Replenish consumable assets as required during an event.
• Drive van and cube with assets.
• Monitor daily operation of kitchen washing equipment, temperatures, cleaning agent levels.
• Maintain and operate Food and Beverage equipment; daily inspections.
• Ensure the proper storage of assets.
• Perform physical inventory counts of consumable and non-consumable products.
• Maintain assets through repairs, replacement and theft prevention measures.
• Do laundry as required.
• Maintain asset storage areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Work safely around all equipment.
