Job description

Seasonal Customer Service Representative

Kaycan has an exciting career opportunity for a Seasonal Customer Service Representative based in Halifax to join our team. This is a great chance to join a Top Employer and contribute to our growth and success.

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Status: Full Time, seasonal (6 months), On-site

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all incoming customer/sales calls, in-person orders, and emails professionally and thoroughly, ensuring timely delivery and resolution of customer concerns.
  • Understand customer needs and advise on solutions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Address inquiries regarding order status, make adjustments, and create new customer accounts for the sales team.
  • Verify product pricing and availability, adjust pricing when necessary, and process refunds or returns.
  • Coordinate with head office and other branches across Canada to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain and update customer accounts in our inventory/CRM system.
  • Enter orders for other branches, including special materials and interbranch shipping, following procedures.
  • Provide clients with pricing and credit terms, and process orders in the system.
  • Investigate and resolve customer service issues, offering effective solutions.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Strong team player with excellent customer service skills and the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • Proactive, positive attitude; think like a customer, act like an owner, and deliver impactful solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar in-person customer service role.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
