Job summary

Heritage Co‑op is seeking a Seasonal Class 1 Driver for Oct 1–Nov 30, 2026 in Brandon, MB. You will deliver agricultural products, fertilizer, seed, and related items while ensuring safety and compliance with TDG and company procedures.

You’ll provide excellent customer service, perform inspections, and assist with yard operations. Valid Manitoba Class 1 license with Air Brake endorsement is required; TDG/WHMIS credentials are assets or obtainable during the season.

Qualifications

• High school education is considered an asset.
• Valid Manitoba Class 1 Driver's Licence with a satisfactory driver's abstract.
• Air Brake (Q) Endorsement is required.
• TDG Certification is considered an asset or willingness to obtain.
• WHMIS Certification is considered an asset or willingness to obtain.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends during peak seasonal periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 kg (55 lbs.).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers during deliveries and collaborating with Team Members.
• Safely operate Class 1 vehicles to transport agricultural products and related items to customer locations and Heritage Co‑op facilities.
• Complete deliveries accurately and in accordance with regulations and safety standards.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; complete required logs and delivery documentation.
• Assist with loading, securing, transporting, and unloading products while maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment by reporting maintenance concerns and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Support Agro Centre operations through yard activities and seasonal duties.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment following safety procedures.

Class 1 Driver (Seasonal October 1st- November 30, 2026)

For our Agro Department located in Brandon, MB

The Class 1 Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation and delivery of agricultural products, crop inputs, fertilizer, seed, and other related products to customers and Heritage Co-op locations. This position plays a key role in supporting our agricultural operations while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers during deliveries, responding to inquiries, and collaborating respectfully with Team Members to deliver a World Class Customer Experience.
• Safely operate Class 1 vehicles to transport fertilizer, seed, crop inputs, agricultural products, and supplies to customer locations and Heritage Co-op facilities.
• Complete deliveries accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with transportation regulations, company procedures, and safety standards.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; complete required logs, reports, and delivery documentation.
• Assist with loading, securing, transporting, and unloading products while ensuring product integrity, inventory accuracy, and safe handling practices.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment by identifying and reporting maintenance concerns and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support Agro Centre operations through yard activities, inventory movement, housekeeping, and other seasonal operational duties as assigned.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by following Occupational Health and Safety, TDG, WHMIS, environmental, loss prevention, and security procedures.

Education and Experience:

• High school education is considered an asset.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience is preferred.
• Experience transporting agricultural products, fertilizer, seed, or bulk commodities is considered an asset.
• Experience operating agricultural equipment, forklifts, or material handling equipment is considered an asset.
• Valid Manitoba Class 1 Driver's Licence with a satisfactory driver's abstract.
• Air Brake (Q) Endorsement is required.
• TDG Certification is considered an asset or willingness to obtain.
• WHMIS Certification is considered an asset or willingness to obtain.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
