Job summary

Crate & Barrel in Edmonton is seeking a Seasonal Cashier to deliver an outstanding in-store experience. You will process customer orders quickly at the POS, handle payments, and assist customers with questions and promotions.

Ideal candidates have retail or customer service experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Availability on weekends after Thanksgiving and around Christmas is required for part-time roles.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders quickly and accurately through POS.
• Meet CBH Credit Card and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders.
• Respond to customer questions professionally.
• Process payments per POS training.
• Promote promotions, offers, loyalty programs and other initiatives to customers.
• Wrap and/or bag orders; keep cash wrap neat and stocked.
• Support store leadership on profitability and operational excellence.
• Ensure products and displays are stocked and accessible for customers.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards to engage customers and associates.

A day in the life as a Seasonal Cashier…

• Drive sales through quickly, efficiently, and accurately processing customers' orders through the POS (point of sale) system.
• Responsible for meeting CBH Credit Card (CBHCC) and email capture metrics as assigned by leaders.
• Respond to customer questions in a professional and respectful manner.
• Process payments as outlined in the POS training.
• Communicate and have awareness of applicable promotions, offers, loyalty programs, and other initiatives to customers.
• Wrap and/or bag customers' orders with care; maintain a neat and safe cash wrap. Ensure cash wraps are fully stocked with supplies.
• Lead by example and support store leadership in holding self and others accountable for store profitability and operational excellence.
• Assist with ensuring products and displays on the sales floor are stocked appropriately and available for customers to purchase.
• Execute and maintain the visual merchandising standards of the sales floor to engage customers and associates with the product, as needed.

• Good communication skills
• Ability to move and/ or lift up to 50 pounds; heavier merchandise with team assist
• Must be able to work the weekend after Thanksgiving AND the days surrounding Christmas
• Part-Time roles: Availability to work two or more weekend days (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday) and at least one weekday or night
