Job summary

Carter's Canada is seeking Seasonal, full-time Afternoon Shift associates for our Cambridge, Ontario Distribution Centre. The role runs Nov to Jan 2027, with PM hours 3:15p-11:45p and pay of $19.50 per hour plus $1 shift differential.

Work is on-site in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment with opportunities for growth. Responsibilities include warehouse operations, order picking, packing, labeling, inventory replenishment, RF scanning, and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of powered materials handling equipment training and safe practices
• Ability to use mechanized equipment as needed
• Detail oriented with the ability to maintain focus in a high activity processing setting
• Able to work closely with others (teamwork)
• At least one year work experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of hand (RF) scanners and WMOS
• Skilled at multi-tasking and able to react quickly to frequent priority shifts

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping, safety and warehouse compliance
• Accurate and efficient order picking and packing, labeling cartons with the correct shipping and content labels
• Responsible for inventory management including clean up and replenishment
• Responsible for quantity and quality picked into any outbound cartons
• Using Radio Frequency (RF) Scanners
• Maintaining minimum performance standards while performing required job functions
• Knowing, understanding and following all Standard Operating Procedures
• Working safely and abiding by all of Carter's safety rules and procedures
• Actively support Carter's culture and values with other Associates
• Other tasks as assigned
• Responsible for housekeeping, Health & Safety of the department.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

PM Shift: Monday - Friday 3:15p - 11:45p ($19.50 per hour + $1 shift differential)

Carter's inc. Canada, a growing national retailer of children's apparel, requires Seasonal, Full-Time Associates, Afternoon Shift, for our Distribution Centre located in Cambridge, Ontario. Contract term: Nov to Jan 2027.

This role typically reports into the Afternoon Supervisor and is based in our Canada DC in our on-site work environment.

Responsibilities

60%: DC Operation and Execution

• Housekeeping, safety and warehouse compliance
• Accurate and efficient order picking and packing, labeling cartons with the correct shipping and content labels
• Responsible for inventory management including clean up and replenishment
• Responsible for quantity and quality picked into any outbound cartons
• Using Radio Frequency (RF) Scanners

40 %: Essential job functions

Must Have:

Preferred skills and experience:

Physical and work demands

Repetitively lift cases weighing up to 50lbs

Work in a multi-channel, multi-shift distribution environment, flexible to work different shifts and extended hours based upon business needs

Stand and work for long periods including daily overtime, holidays and overtime as required

Intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward

Work in varying temperatures

Shift hours: 3:15pm - 11:45pm, Monday - Friday
