Job summary

Omnicom Media Canada is seeking a Manager to lead SEO strategies, act as primary client contact, and oversee execution for multiple client portfolios. You will guide cross-functional teams, stay current with SEO tools, and contribute to business results.

The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with a focus on delivering data-driven SEO plans and high-quality client deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Marketing or Advertising background preferred.
  • Strong understanding of digital channels and SEO.
  • Experience with website tagging and trafficking processes.
  • Ability to build client relationships with a service focus.
  • Proven ability to translate research into SEO strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as key point of contact for planning teams and clients.
  • Lead and oversee SEO plans to meet client KPIs.

  • Contribute to strategic planning that drives client results.
  • Present post-implementation results and proposals to planners/clients.
  • Proactively contribute SEO POVs and monitor KPI goals.

Job description

The role of the Manager is responsible for client communication, and will develop and oversee execution of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) plans and strategies for our clients. They will also operate as an internal resource for SEO subject-matter expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate as key point of contact for agency planning teams and clients.
  • Work with agency teams and clients directly to ensure their SEO efforts are meeting or exceeding client’s key performance indicators (KPI’s)/expectations.
  • Develop best in class deliverables to clients, from available technology platforms and services.
  • Proven expert in SEO capabilities, ability to find best in class solutions for the clients and being up-to-date with the upcoming tools/tech solutions that would work for their overall SEO strategy; ability to evaluate and integrate new tools independently into our product suite.
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments in the digital landscape and educate teams and clients as required.
  • Serve as subject matter expert to teams internally and externally.
  • Manage and lead a direct report, or a team of employees. Effectively communicate agency goals, manage workloads, provide ongoing performance feedback and support professional development. Interview and participate in hiring decision of employees if/when required.
  • Respond to request for proposals (RFPs) and briefs to assist with strategic SEO planning.
  • Assist Associate Director with developing agency partners’ process and workflow to ensure a collaborative and efficient working relationship (process, timelines, budgets).
  • Assist with, and contribute to, strategic planning solutions that will drive client’s business results.
  • Compile and present post implementation results/decks and requests for proposals (RFPs) to planners/clients as necessary.
  • Proactively and independently contribute to and/or prepare SEO point of views (POVs).
  • Monitor the goals and key performance indicators (KPI’s) for a portfolio of clients to ensure on-time and complete delivery of recommendations. Ensure all tactical SEO plan requirements are correctly implemented based on client needs.
  • Effectively manage ongoing client expectations in regards to work back schedule and deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Professional or educational background in Marketing and/or Advertising would give leverage to this application)
  • Full understanding of the roles of various digital channels.
  • Strong understanding of trafficking and website tagging processes.
  • Ability to develop positive on-going business relationships with a focus on client service.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively apply knowledge and insights gained from research resources to SEO strategies.
  • Solid understanding of cross channel planning, demonstrate strong coordination of digital and offline media efforts.
  • Proficient in data analysis, emerging media and technology.
  • Experience with negotiation and presenting.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Highly developed organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Ability to investigate, analyze & solve problems, and clearly communicate results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Proficient with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Data Studio/Looker Studio, SEMRush, Moz, ScreamingFrog, Ahrefsetc, etc.
