Job summary

Omnicom Media in Canada is seeking a Senior Media Planner to lead the creation and presentation of integrated media plans, proposals and analyses grounded in insights and experience.

You will work within an integrated planning team to ensure flawless media executions, manage client expectations, and stay current with industry trends while partnering with major media partners. This role offers a hybrid work model and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent; university graduate or advertising/marketing degree.
  • Minimum two years in integrated media planning.
  • Experience at an integrated advertising agency.
  • Proficient with media research tools and media tools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, write and present integrated media plans, proposals and analyses that satisfy client objectives and that go beyond the brief.
  • Prepare and present evaluations of media opportunities, media trends and issues of interest to client.
  • Manage ongoing client expectations regarding work back schedules and deadlines.
  • Develop ability to effectively manage client conversations and expectations.
  • Remain up-to-date with latest updates from major media partners.
  • Ensure that all media plans adhere to the agency's values, philosophies and processes.
  • Maintain the media plan and regularly evaluate campaign performance.
  • Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships by showing responsibility and reliability.
  • Initiate and coordinate the media buying process that delivers exceptional results.
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of media buys.
  • Assist with training junior employees on tools and processes; ensure client budgets are managed and on track.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely client finance reports and budget control reports (BCRs).
  • Support the creation of campaign post reports and media POVs/evaluation.
  • Source and evaluate proposals from media partners and continue to develop knowledge of the media landscape.
