Definity Financial Corporation is seeking a Search Engine & Generative Engine Optimization Coordinator Co-op for Winter 2027 in Toronto. You will support SEO and GEO initiatives, collaborate with content, UX, developers, and marketing teams, and conduct technical audits.
You will analyze website performance with GA, GSC, SEMrush, and Looker Studio, develop optimization briefs, and assist with reporting dashboards. A/co-op with hybrid work is offered.

About the JobAs an SEO/GEO Specialist Co-op, you will support Sonnet's SEO and Generative Engine Optimization initiatives by reporting directly to SEO/GEO Manager, and collaborating with content, ux , developers, and marketing teams.
What You’ll Work OnSupport the SEO/GEO Manager in executing SEO and GEO strategies.
Assist with identifying content optimization opportunities and conduct technical audits.
Analyze website performance and content opportunities using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Looker Studio.
Conduct keyword , search intent, and competitive research.
Help develop SEO and GEO content briefs.
Review and optimize on-page metadata, heading structures, internal linking, and GEO opportunities.
Monitor organic search performance and assist with reporting dashboards.
Support AI search and GEO initiatives through research and analysis.
Collaborate with content, UX, development, and marketing teams.
Assist with SEO QA before and after website releases, measure performance results

The hourly compensation for the role starts at $22.50 per hour and will increase based on factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, and the recommended rates as set by the respective educational institution.
