Job summary

Definity is seeking an SEO/GEO Specialist Co-op to support Sonnet's SEO and Generative Engine Optimization initiatives. You will report to the SEO/GEO Manager and collaborate with content, UX, developers, and marketing teams.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in SEO auditing, content briefs, on-page optimization, and performance analysis using GA, GSC, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Looker Studio. This 4-month winter co-op offers meaningful work and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an MBA, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Previous internship, co-op, or professional experience in SEO, digital marketing, analytics, or related fields preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Basic understanding of SEO principles.
• Working knowledge of HTML and website structures.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the SEO/GEO Manager in executing SEO and GEO strategies.

• Analyze website performance and content opportunities using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Looker Studio.
• Conduct keyword, search intent, and competitive research.

• Review and optimize on-page metadata, heading structures, internal linking, and GEO opportunities.
• Monitor organic search performance and assist with reporting dashboards.
• Support AI search and GEO initiatives through research and analysis.
• Collaborate with content, UX, development, and marketing teams.
• Assist with SEO QA before and after website releases, measure performance results

About the Job

What We’re Looking For

• Basic knowledge of CSS, JavaScript, or CMS platforms.
• Interest in GEO, AI-powered search, and emerging digital channels.

The hourly compensation for the role starts at $22.50 per hour and will increase based on factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, and the recommended rates as set by the respective educational institution.
