Job summary

Definity seeks a co-op student in Fall 2026 for a role within Platform Engineering and Technology Delivery teams. You will collaborate with partners to define problems, manage intake requests, and prepare strategic plans while supporting releases and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a university degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Technology, Business, or related field.
• Strong practical familiarity with generative AI tools - Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Claude - including prompt engineering basics.
• Experience in a technology solution environment is an asset.
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment is an asset.
• Proficient with MS Office 365 and MS Teams; Jira/Confluence/ServiceNow are assets.
• Self-driven with accountability and strong collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with technology and business partners to identify and define problem statements and objectives.
• Create and maintain intake requests through JIRA & ServiceNow.
• Provide quarterly strategic planning support and consolidate requests.
• Create and maintain updates of executive PowerPoint presentations.
• Chair meetings and distribute minutes to stakeholders.
• Chair and organize Community of Practice lunch and learns.
• Chair scrum/agile ceremonies within Platform Engineering teams.
• Monitor service dashboards and inform partners of emerging issues.
• Assist in quality engineering tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with Delivery Partners on release management tickets.
• Consolidate and manage team Confluence pages.

• Consolidate and manage team confluence pages

What you bring:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a university degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong practical familiarity with generative AI tools - specifically Microsoft Copilot and Gemini and Claude -including prompt engineering basics and a clear understanding of their corporate capabilities and limitations
• Previous experience working in a technology solution environment is an asset
• Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is an asset
• Proficient in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Teams is an asset
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence and ServiceNow is an asset
• Self‑driven, able to move tasks & requests forward independently and with personal accountability
• Detail‑oriented team player and excellent collaborator, able to both lead & participate to develop solutions with strong customer focus
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in a professional environment
• Strong technical aptitude and desire to learn new systems (e.g., Guidewire)
• Adaptive and agile, able to rapidly pivot your efforts between multiple priorities as business needs change to provide value to our customers

Background checks

The hourly compensation for the role starts at $22.50 per hour and will increase based on factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, and the recommended rates as set by the respective educational institution.
