Global Technical Talent is seeking a strong Scrum Master for a 6-month contract in Toronto, with hybrid work flexibility (4 days in office). The role supports a data platform within a financial services environment, leading the agile delivery of risk-related products using our framework.

Quick onboarding and proactive delivery are essential. You will lead PI planning and ceremonies, switch between Scrum and Kanban, and mentor a 10–15 person pod to ensure timely releases under regulatory

Job Summary

We are looking for a very strong Scrum Master with proven experience and background in the industry. The candidate must have exceptional leadership skills to influence and lead the delivery of risk-related products using our Agile framework. This is a replacement role supporting a Data Platform maintain and enhancement initiative within a Data business department, working within a leading financial institution organization. We are looking for a go-getter, quick-learning individual who can quickly onboard and support our Data business department effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Must-Have Requirements

• Must have:
• Scrum Knowledge (Technology focus)
• Agile@Scale knowledge; will lead PI Planning sessions and other ceremonies
• Jira/Confluence (needs to be strong; these are the main tools used – 95% of the time)
• Kanban – Proficient in switching from Scrum to Kanban as needed.
• Leading a team / Pod (strong leadership skills, preferable if they were a people manager before)

Education Requirements

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Team size: 10–15 people
• Training period: 2 weeks
• No rotation required
• No upcoming furlough
• Overtime as needed
