Job summary

The Greater Essex County District School Board invites applications for a Temporary - Psychologist (1.0 FTE) within the Special Education Department. This temporary, unionized (O.S.S.T.F. P.S.S.P.), up to 35 hours per week assignment with start date as TBD, up to and including June 30, 2027.

Responsibilities include psychological assessments, staff consultation, crisis support, and liaison with external agencies. Applicants must have a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent in Clinical or School Psychology
• Must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
• Experience in clinical/educational assessment and intervention with children/youth

Responsibilities

• Providing psychoeducational assessments and reports for pupils referred for Special Education programming
• Consultation for staff and direct services to referred students
• Liaison with external agencies and involvement in crisis situations as needed
• Organizing professional development for staff and parents
• Contribute to threat assessments and behaviour/safety planning
